We are delighted to share that our Slow Cooked Beef Brisket in Red Wine Jus for Aldi has won a Bronze Quality Food Award in the ready meals category. Slow cooked beef brisket in a rich red wine jus, made with quality Red Tractor Certified British beef from our integrated business Pickstock in Telford. The beef goes perfectly with creamy mash and vegetables to create a restaurant quality meal at home for two.
It has been great fun working with Team Aldi to create a range of delicious, high quality Craft Guild of Chefs endorsed slow cooked products made using the traditional sous vide water bath method. A lot of hard work has gone into this range consisting of; Beef Bourguignon, Pork Belly, Chicken Shawarma, Lamb Shanks, Gammon Shanks, Smoky BBQ Beef Brisket, BBQ Pulled Pork, Sweet BBQ Pork Ribs and Smoky BBQ Ribs. In 2022, we achieved highly commended for our Chicken Fillet Strips with TABASCO® Brand Pepper Sauce Flavour at the Quality Food Awards. They were created and developed in conjunction with supermarket retailer Iceland as part of their ‘Exclusive to Iceland’ initiative.
In 2022, we achieved gold status for our Sous Vide Lemon and Herb Half Chicken at the Supplier Innovation LIVE event, with a number of judges giving 10 out of 10 for likelihood of stocking the product. Our lemon and herb spiced half chicken dish was presented showcasing the different cuts, demonstrating its flexibility with the chicken wings, legs, drumsticks and breast.
